Weatherproof transitional fashion – of course with a cool bucket hat

It’s still windy and cool outside. So it’s good to be properly equipped in the transitional period. It’s still too fresh for a light blazer and too warm for a down coat. All women swear in the transitional period because it is a real challenge every morning to choose the right outfit for the day. If I dress too thin, I freeze all day and I might still get a cold, but if I dress too thick, I also feel uncomfortable and constantly pull at the sweater that is too thick and sweat.

The fashion industry has of course taken on the topic and there are many fashion pieces that are perfect for the fresh transitional period. I like casual outfits for everyday life, which are also referred to as street style. For me, my everyday outfit has to be comfortable, chic and light. I don’t particularly like heavy and long coats (e.g. trench coats) on me and I can’t wear high heels either because of the distances I travel to the bus and train every day. Therefore, this simple everyday look is ideal for my requirements and also fashionable.

A little tip: for a good fashion style in the transitional period, it is not necessary to accumulate masses of high-priced items of clothing such as jackets or coats or to throw yourself into extravagant styling experiments. Rather, the best recipe for a stylish appearance in spring is to focus on fashion basics. These are simple, timeless pieces in neutral colors such as dark blue, grey, black, khaki or beige, or with a striped print, which can be perfectly combined with each other and with other items of clothing.

Today I show you two basic street style looks that you can wear every day and still look good:

Oversize blazer from Someday, with wide leg jeans from COS and cream top with ruched sleeves from Zara.

Bucket hat – or fisherman hat – fashion accessory of the season:

A fashionable bucket hat is perfect for short rain showers and fresh gusts of wind. My hair doesn’t tolerate wind and certainly no rain (natural curls become extremely brittle in the wind and terribly strawy in the rain). Therefore, for me bucket hats or caps are not only a fashion accessory, but also real hair protectors.

Oversize blazers will remain faithful companions in the coming season. The outfit is particularly beautiful and stylish with a fresh color.

My casual street style look – cool with a bucket hat:

Ultralight quilted jacket in khaki green from Zara – I don’t mind fresh gusts of wind with it.

Cool and eye-catching sneakers round off the street style outfit perfectly.

I hope you like my looks. How are you coping with the transition period? Which everyday looks do you rely on? Feel free to write me a comment on the topic.
