As a bridal couple, are you looking for a small, intimate wedding? It is not without reason that more and more couples are interested in an elopement, i.e. a wedding for two or in a very small group. We’ll show you what an elopement can look like in the mountains – in the midst of nature – at a civil wedding at an altitude of 1,800 meters.

First of all, we would like to inform you that, even with an elopement, you definitely don’t have to go without something. Even at a wedding just for two, you are very much allowed to incorporate all of the classic wedding traditions. Just as you want and you imagine. Without having to take the opinion of others into account.

Start the day relaxed for two

The day started in the Almdorf Vorderbrand at an altitude of 1,100 meters. There are alpine pastures there that can be rented individually and which, with a wonderful panoramic terrace including a whirlpool, offer a perfect oasis of calm for a cozy start to the wedding day. The bride wore a lace kimono in the morning and an elegant bridal bikini in the hot tub. Both really pretty.

If you are worried that the first look on the day of the wedding will lose its magic due to the time together in the morning, then this is unfounded. After the relaxing day, the bride and groom got ready separately from each other. After getting ready, the two decided to do a “first touch” instead of a first look while reading personal words to each other. A nice idea, which of course can be followed by the actual first look.

Registry office at 1,800 meters above sea level

After cutting the wedding cake, the couple took the cable car up to 1,800 meters. Up there is the Jenner registry office, where you can officially say yes at a dizzying height. A wonderful view is of course included.

Equipped with hiking boots, the bride and groom then went through the Berchtesgaden National Park. At sunset, both of them could not only enjoy nature, but also the peace and quiet. Except for the couple and the photographer, there was not a single soul to be seen! Up there, the two decided to exchange a personal vow in the middle of blooming mountain meadows.
