Wedding in Arenfels Castle: summery & Mediterranean

Wedding in Arenfels Castle: summery & Mediterranean

Are you dreaming of a summer wedding? Then be sure to take a look at this wedding report by Elisa and Matthias. Both have decided to have a wedding in August, with a Mediterranean and Italian flair.

In order to do justice to the desired flair, the bridal couple has chosen a mixture of the colors olive, cream, rose, apricot and gold. Not without reason, because the color selection is based on the Italian flag, but a little more flowery and gentle.

The motto was already taken up in the church and implemented, for example, in the decoration of the pews. In addition, the bridal couple did not decorate the benches with an apricot-colored bow, but also with an olive branch to give the whole thing a Mediterranean touch.

Church wedding

Before the church wedding, they were both very excited. It had rained lightly beforehand, which is not unusual for a wedding in August. But during the wedding the sun suddenly came out and enveloped the church in a beautiful light.

After the wedding, the bride and groom were welcomed with wedding walls, which the guests happily swung back and forth in the air. You can buy these ready-made, or you can simply make them yourself. We show you exactly how this works in our DIY Wedding Wands guide.

Wedding celebration in Arenfels Castle

When we show you a wedding on our website, there are always one or two details that particularly inspire us. At the wedding in Arenfels Castle, this includes not only the antipasti bar for the guests, but also the table decorations.

The central element of the table decoration at this summer wedding was a flower arrangement in a tall and tall cocktail glass. All around were place plates on which a napkin and the gift were lying.

Antipasti bar for guests

Every guest received homemade pesto from the groom’s mother. This was filled in a small mason jar with a gold lid and decorated with washi tape and personalized stickers. In addition, there was an antipasti bar for the guests at the wedding in Arenfels Castle. Olives, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pretzel sticks and baguette were served. A very nice idea so that the guest gift can be used directly at the wedding.
