Bacon potatoes were a popular in many GDR households Everyday dishwhich brought a lot of taste to the table with a few ingredients. Especially the mixture laurel,, pimento,, marjoram and clove gives the potatoes a wonderful spicy aroma. The Hearty baconwhich in the end is given over the steaming potato cubes, the dish rounds off perfectly. With fresh Kitchen herbs Sprinkled, it is a filling meal that can also be prepared well – simple, hearty and honest.
Ingredients
- 750 g potatoes
- Salt
- 1 small laurel leaf
- 4 Piment grains
- 1 teaspoon of marjoram
- 1 clove
- 125 bacon
- Kitchen herbs

preparation
- Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and cook with the spices in so much salt water that they are covered.
- When you are cooked, pour the water and give the bacon cut into cubes.
- Shake through the covered pot, put the bacon potatoes in the serving bowl and sprinkle with twisted kitchen herbs (dill, cress, parsley).
