Bacon potatoes

 

Bacon potatoes were a popular in many GDR households Everyday dishwhich brought a lot of taste to the table with a few ingredients. Especially the mixture laurel,, pimento,, marjoram and clove gives the potatoes a wonderful spicy aroma. The Hearty baconwhich in the end is given over the steaming potato cubes, the dish rounds off perfectly. With fresh Kitchen herbs Sprinkled, it is a filling meal that can also be prepared well – simple, hearty and honest.

Ingredients

  • 750 g potatoes
  • Salt
  • 1 small laurel leaf
  • 4 Piment grains
  • 1 teaspoon of marjoram
  • 1 clove
  • 125 bacon
  • Kitchen herbs

preparation

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and cook with the spices in so much salt water that they are covered.
  2. When you are cooked, pour the water and give the bacon cut into cubes.
  3. Shake through the covered pot, put the bacon potatoes in the serving bowl and sprinkle with twisted kitchen herbs (dill, cress, parsley).
