Because of this, I allowed myself to take a little break from #nothingnew22 in May and add a few select pieces in my favorite “new” colors. I also dyed a few older pieces in the washing machine. Of course, I still wear warm colors from time to time and also love the combination with cool tones, but I wanted to get involved and take the freshly gained inspiration with me into my everyday life. And that worked out pretty well! Here you can see the colors for my summer capsule:

Which colors do I choose for the capsule wardrobe?
For my capsule wardrobe I choose a few main colors (1), neutral colors (2) and accent colors (3). The main colors make up the largest proportion and appear as basics and key pieces. This season my main colors are forest green, denim blue and white in different shades. The neutral colors ensure more combinability. Here I have black that mostly comes in the form of black and white patterns as it’s too harsh for me on its own. In addition, my beloved rust comes into play again, which I find particularly beautiful in combination with blue and forest green. The accent colors lilac, lemon yellow and raspberry only appear in small proportions. I would like to add some accessories like belts or scarves in these colors. But a top in lemon yellow or lipstick in raspberry can also bring some summery freshness into the outfit as an accent. I think accent colors are perfect when you want to try a fashion color but don’t know if it will make a permanent place in the capsule.

If you want to go a little deeper, you can find my Capsule Wardrobe online course here. If you are from Leipzig (or would like to take a look at this beautiful city), you can also book a color consultation with me. just contact me A color consultation is a wonderful basis for putting together your own capsule wardrobe, because afterwards you will know so much better which colors will make YOU shine. In addition, you gain a kind of filter for shopping and are less irritated by what is “in” at the moment. Conversely, you can also strike when YOUR COLORS are hanging in the shops.

As you can see, my summer capsule wardrobe is quite extensive. That’s because I just really like summer and especially at this time of year I like to indulge in colors and patterns. That’s why I limit myself less this season than, for example, in autumn or winter. In fact, I’m going to end up with about 60 pieces this time, but since I’m so busy trying it out right now, that’s fine with me. Remember, no matter what any capsule wardrobe guides might have you believe, your wardrobe must always fit FOR YOU. But I also admit that you get overwhelmed, the more items you have hanging in your closet and perhaps combine them less creatively than you do with fewer items of clothing.

I would like to show you three more outfits that I put together from my capsule wardrobe. You will also regularly find new outfits from the #tagtraeumerincapsulewardrobe on Instagram.

I love love love this cardigan (Gaspard von Sézane) in my beloved forest green! I think I’ve worn it 1000 times since he moved in with me. The wonderful thing is that you can wear it forwards and backwards. This really gives you a great variety of carrying options. AAAAND the sleeves are super long! I’m in love. I especially like the combination with the lilac linen T-shirt underneath.

I think the shirt also looks great in combination with my self-sewn corduroy jacket in forest green. I’m also wearing a golden belt from my shop, mom jeans with a frayed hem that I’ve adjusted in width and length, and my beloved Veja sneakers in white.

I would like to show you one last outfit – simply because it is somehow unusual for me and yet could not be more “Laura-like”. In any case, I love it very much! I combined my self-sewn leo skirt with the Drykorn blouse, which I recently shortened to midi length and have loved in all seasons ever since. The sneakers are classic Converse and bring a casual and sporty touch to the outfit. I like! Because I can’t be at Chicki Micki, then I feel like I’m disguised. I scooped up the sleeves of the blouse and knotted the hem. With long sleeves and half tucked into the waistband of a pair of jeans, the blouse looks completely different again. Every capsule wardrobe needs such diverse pieces!

How nice that I was able to share my capsule wardrobe for the summer here with you! I just love the theme so much and it has given me so much joy in my wardrobe. With the fresh colors a whole lot of new inspiration has come in. Let me know if you have any questions about the Capsule Wardrobe! If you like, I’ll list all the parts again, but it’s going to be a loooong list.
