Buying shoes is not difficult, but which ones go with which outfit?
You can read here how shoes turn an outfit, which ones go with what and what you need in the closet.
Shoes reflect our daily form even more than the color of our lipstick. Comfortable sneakers, seductive high heels or biker boots determine the whole look and can lift the outfit to the sky or completely downsize it.
Over the last 15 years, shoe fashion has changed dramatically towards comfortable, practical shoes. Back in the 80s, nobody could imagine walking around in sneakers 90% of the time. And in the 50s, women only wore pumps. Flat shoes? Unthinkable!
Comfortable high heels – which heel suits me?
Heels are of course beautiful and look great with almost any outfit, but you have to be able to walk in them. This is usually easier to do with a thicker block heel, but it should also fit the calf. A delicate woman with slender, narrow calves will be overwhelmed by such coarse pumps, narrow heels suit her better. Conversely, women with strong calves should wear thicker heels.

Which shoes for which outfit – ballerinas
The ballerinas that are common today were previously only reserved for dancers and only came into fashion in the 1950s thanks to actresses. The first to wear them were Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot, models from Ferragamo and Repetto, who still produce 6,000 pairs a day today.
Ballerina is not just a ballerina
Beware, there are such and such. The true chic ballerinas resemble ballet shoes and look best on narrow feet. In no case are they models with thick rubber sole edges, reinforced seams or straps at the front.
Ballerinas should have a large neckline like the ones from Pretty Ballerina, this gives you a large foot cleavage and stretches the leg. Even a small heel is wonderful for comfort.

Which shoes go with which outfit – Ballerias
In summer: dark blue ballerinas look nice with dark denim shorts. Green or nude-colored models with airy dresses provide more summer feeling.
Ballerinas also go well with narrow ⅞ trousers, skinny and cropped jeans and chinos. They usually look too stocky with wide trousers. They are too flat and girly for Marlene pants, pointed models are more suitable.

When it comes to dresses and skirts, proportion matters, but as long as they look light, many outfits will work with ballet flats. The colors pink, nude and cream are therefore all-time favorites, they slightly lengthen your legs and make the outfit look girlishly young. But black patent leather ballerinas can also style a rock outfit.
Which shoes go with which outfit – combine sneakers
White sneakers have now become the absolute standard because they really go with almost everything. The new models are often light, incredibly comfortable and look great with jeans. But also ⅞ fabric trousers, a calf-length floral dress, shorts in summer, extra-long Marlene trousers, … white sneakers always work.
Combine white sneakers correctly
In order for the leg to look slim, the ankles should remain visible as much as possible. Of course, sneakers should have short, invisible socks. Because protruding socks or socks of a different color can destroy the casual look. Tennis socks that are worn tightly in sneakers are hip again and something for people who are otherwise completely fashionably styled.
Combine platform sneakers
Platform sneakers are a great way to gain a few inches of height, and the new long, wide pants look better with platform sneakers, too.
The 80s sneakers in tennis looks like those from Autry are also very popular, they create a sporty, casual contrast to more elegant outfits and are comfortable and wide.
All Veja sneakers are completely sustainable. Which definitely cannot be said of Nike and Adidas. They even shred returns because they want to fuel the hype about new models.

Which shoes go with which outfit – combine colorful sneakers
Colorful sneakers need a little rest in the outfit so that it doesn’t get too cluttered. Unless you want the Berlin style, where everything is cheerfully styled topsy-turvy. Patterned sneakers are eye-catchers and attract attention, so they should be well presented.

If you are not sure what the rest of the look should look like, then either use the colors IN your sneakers as a guide – e.g. a pink sweater if the sneakers contain pink – or you combine neutral and rather simple clothing in blue, black, Add grey, nude or camel.

Which shoes go with which outfit – combine black sneakers
Black and blue sneakers are especially important in autumn winter when your outfits consist of darker colors. A black sneaker lengthens the leg in a black chino, a blue one the jeans and with the usual white sole it always looks sporty.
Skirts: Which shoes go with which length
This basically depends on the skirt length and your stature or figure. Of course, pumps always conjure up longer legs and therefore look more elegant with knee-length skirts. This also applies to wedges (wedge heels) or sandals with heels.
You can combine many types of shoes with mini skirts. For a sporty look, sneakers and biker boots look casual. In winter, boots with matching tights are suitable for everyday use.
Remember this rule:
The shorter the skirt, the more flat shoes like ballerinas, sandals, loafers or booties work. Knee-length skirts almost always look nicer with heels, while long skirts work well with flatter shoes.

What shoes go with the dress
There are many ways to find shoes to match the dress. Which ones fit primarily has to do with your individual style and your proportions. And of course with the style of the dress.
A dark blue sheath dress goes best with pumps, which are either also dark blue or set an accent, e.g. Red. Especially nice when you pick up the little color accents again.

A summery floral dress goes well with sandals that are either a neutral tan or you pick up a color of the dress again. Nude-colored, white or even turquoise sandals would also have fitted here.

In spring or autumn you can also wear ankle boots with dresses, but that compresses a little. If your legs are long enough, light-colored boots generally go better with bare legs. If you wear dark tights, dark boots lengthen your legs, which makes you slimmer and stretches your silhouette.

Which shoes go with which outfit: Espadrilles?
Espadrilles are wonderfully light shoes for the warm season. They are available as flat beach shoes or with wedge heels and straps. They go well with summer looks, because the bast heel stands for beach and lightness. They don’t look valuable enough with a blue classic dress and tend to pull it down. But they look charming with colorful dresses, shorts and jeans.

What goes with slingbacks
Slingbacks are heeled shoes with straps instead of heel caps and look good on women with narrow ankles. They go great with chic dresses, evening looks, but they also look stylish with 7/8-length suit trousers.

Which sandals go well with many outfits
Sandals are a must-have for summer and go with many outfits. Whether skirts or summer dresses, shorts or wide, casual linen pants: sandals always work.
The easiest way to go about it is with models in neutral tones, as they really go with everything. Another pair of black sandals and possibly colored ones make sense as basic equipment.
Since very rough, flat and comfortable sandals with footbeds have been in fashion for some time, there are many comfortable models to choose from. Starting with Birkenstock, platform sandals, mules or sandals with thick soles.
