We Germans tend to complain about the weather. So the exact opposite at this point: lots of gratitude for the heavenly late summer that we have been able to enjoy in the last few weeks.
The Oktoberfest in Munich ended yesterday and, with the exception of two days, everyone there was able to enjoy pleasant temperatures (mostly well above 20 degrees) for two and a half weeks.
To be honest, we only went to the Oktoberfest once this year as we were out and about most of the time, but of course we didn’t miss the chance to slip into our traditional costumes for an evening.

Where have we been this past month? Among other things, in our Hockenheim home for a very special festival. The motto of the festival of the same name: feelings of happiness. And there really were a lot of them. A colorful mix of different musical styles, many well-known artists (Alle Farben, Nico Santos, Robin Schulz, Lea, Zoe Wees, Sido, Sarah Connor, Felix Jaehn, Gentleman and so many more), mid-Summer weather in mid-September and a colorful fair -Backdrop. We had so much fun! If you’re thinking about going to the second edition of Glücksfühle next year (September 12th – 15th, 2024): definitely do it, the name of the festival says it all!
Otherwise, we were in the Salzburger Land in September for a photo production and also used the last month to deal with a lot of general things before a late year with a lot of travel. In the Munich home office and in the garden home office with the family.
Speaking of travel-intensive: We’re flying to Mallorca at the end of the week! And the anticipation of our favorite island is huge. We have a lot of exciting things planned and are really looking forward to writing new Mallorca articles for you.

A Netflix film tip:
We recently presented you with a few exciting new series tips here, today I would like to recommend a completely different genre: a romance film. And a particularly beautiful one: “The statistical probability of love at first sight”. The romcom went online on Netflix in mid-September and is the perfect choice for a relaxed movie night. The film tells the story of Hadley and Oliver, who fall in love on the flight from New York to London and, due to an unfortunate incident, break up without their respective contact details. What are the chances that the two will see each other again? Beautifully implemented and really something for the heart – and (almost) without any kitsch.
