Sew the “Finja” shirt
As part of the monthly freebies from inspiration magazine, we are making the pattern and instructions for the Finja shirt available to you free of charge until the end of January. The shirt with cool metallic embroidery has a romantic touch thanks to the flounces on the sleeves and goes just as well with jeans as with jogging pants. The free pattern is available in sizes 36 to 48.
A look at inspiration 03/2022
Finja comes from the autumn/winter issue of inspiration from 2022. The magazine impresses with soft fabrics, flowing cuts and bright colors. These make the world appear fresher and bring peace and security. The perfect start to the new year. For the cozy season, the booklet contains many, mostly simple cuts for quick sewing successes. Whether it’s a coat, dress or even trousers and tops, there’s definitely something for everyone.

The ruffled shirt with cool embroidery is sewn from soft knitted fabric and is therefore super comfortable on the skin. The flounced sleeves are a special eye-catcher; they add a playful touch to the long-sleeved shirt. The shirt is the perfect complement to jeans in everyday life.
Unpack ZIP file with pattern
After downloading you will have a ZIP file. In the unzipped folder you will find:
- Sewing instructions with information on ingredients, cutting and sewing process
- Sewing pattern in A4 format. You can print this out with your normal printer at home and glue it together. Make sure that you print out the pattern using the “original size” setting. Use the control square to check whether the printout was in the correct size.
- Embroidery file for the motif “Hello”
At this point, a precautionary note: By clicking on the download button, the ZIP file will automatically be downloaded to your computer. You then have to unzip it to get the PDF pattern. On Windows this works by right-clicking on the file and clicking on the “Extract all” menu item. On the Mac, you can extract ZIP files by double-clicking with the left mouse button.
Typically, download files are automatically loaded into the Downloads folder; But this depends on the operating system, the device used and your local settings. If you download with your smartphone and cannot find the file or cannot unzip it, please try using a desktop computer.
