This dreamlike Real Wedding is like a winter fairy tale that took place in the Alps of Sportgastein. Professional freerider and ski film producer Sandra has said yes to her Gernot, sports director of the ski tourism school Gastein, after 18 years together. And it was clear from the start: at the couple’s wedding, the focus must be on their great passion – skiing. Be inspired by this extraordinary ski wedding, where the love for snow, mountains and nature is reflected in every detail.
A wedding arch made of old skis, a wedding cake with a bridal couple skiing and snow-capped peaks in bright sunshine. The first look of the bridal couple took place in front of a breathtaking backdrop on the summit of the Kreuzkogel and the wedding ceremony at the middle station of the cable car. Of course, the trellis afterwards could not be missing either and this consisted – how could it be otherwise – of nothing but skis. Incidentally, the gondola only moved on this day and especially for the bridal couple and the wedding party.

Ski wedding in white and beige
White and beige are the colors of this winter wedding, reflecting the snowy mountains and the connection to nature. The cream-colored pampas grass and the moss-green eucalyptus in wedding flowers are also perfect for this. The wedding arch was made from two old wooden skis that actually come from the early years of the sport. The proud father of the bride lovingly made all the many wooden details (table card holders, signposts and much more).
“Sandra tied the Gernot”: I say yes at 2,000 meters
The wedding ceremony took place at the middle station of the Kreuzkogel, surrounded by the Hohe Tauern. The bridal couple has already collected many beautiful memories at this place. That’s why only this mountain panorama came into question for her yes word.

Ski wedding with simple stationery and artistic wedding cake
The white, simple wedding stationery perfectly picks up on the wedding motto with a finely drawn mountain backdrop. The sweeping monogram is reminiscent of a ski track in the snow. The wedding cake couldn’t be better suited to the ski wedding: a snow-capped mountain with a cable car, fir trees and a bridal couple skiing.
Winter bride with boho wedding dress and mountain boots
The pretty winter bride wears her hair in soft waves, which goes beautifully with her natural boho-style wedding dress. The earrings are in the shape of snowflakes and she wears mountain boots for the first look with her groom in the snow.

A very big thank you from Sandra and Gernot goes to family and friends. They only made the dream wedding possible because they all actively helped so that the bridal couple could enjoy every moment. Especially Otto and Liene from Valeriehaus and Sandra’s friend and wedding planner Birgit.
