Small gifts make great souvenirs! After all, everyone is happy about a homemade little something! In my opinion, candles are particularly suitable because they have no expiry date and everyone can use them. That’s why today I’m going to show you 4 ideas on how you can make your own candles. This turns inexpensive candles into special unique pieces that would otherwise cost a small fortune.
Designing your own candles made easy
For the first variant, you need dried flowers. Last year I harvested a pair of hydrangea flowers and dried them between the pages of a book. Of course you can also use other flowers such as forget-me-nots, pansies etc. It is important that the flowers do not contain too much moisture.
What else do you need: in addition to the dried blossomsyou need one Tealight and one Paint brush
How is it prepared?
- First, light the tea light and leave it on for a few minutes so that the wax can become liquid.
- Now take the candle in your hand and place a dried flower anywhere.
- We now dip the brush into the liquid wax and apply the wax thinly to the flower. Do this quickly as the wax dries quickly.
- How many flowers you put on the candle is entirely up to you. Your self-designed candle is ready!
