How to make herb butter step by step:
- First, take the butter out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature until it is very soft and has an ointment-like consistency. To check, press the butter lightly with a fork.
- Prepare fresh herbs that you like best and form them into a kind of ball to make chopping them easier. Then chop them again and again, in both directions, until all the pieces are practically the same size. If you want to make the butter with a slight hint of garlic, also chop the two cloves of garlic very finely.

- Put the butter in a bowl, add the finely chopped herbs and, if necessary, the small pieces of garlic and stir with a fork until the mixture is homogeneous, that is, all the herbs are well distributed.
- Spread out a piece of cling film, place the herb butter on top and gently shape it into a cylinder, pressing it together and sealing it at each end. After leaving the roll in the fridge for a few hours, the butter is ready and you can portion it as needed.
