Strawberry cake with pudding – pure pleasure from three delicious layers

In this article, we have something elaborate, but really tasty for you, namely the recipe for a great strawberry pudding cake.
The strawberry cake with pudding is a bit time-consuming, but the taste is worth it!
ingredients and preparation
For this recipe, you must first prepare the cake batter and then the pudding itself. You also need to gel the strawberries. This makes the recipe quite complex because it is carried out in several stages. The bottom line is that it’s not that difficult and this super delicious strawberry cake with pudding is worth the effort!
Ingredients for the cake batter
- 250 g butter (leave to soak at room temperature for at least an hour)
- 200 grams of sugar
- 4 medium eggs
- 2 packs of vanilla sugar (approx. 30gr)
- 250 gr. flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
Ingredients for the pudding
- 300 gr. whipped cream,
- 400 ml milk,
- 2 packs of pudding – one with vanilla and strawberry flavor.
Jellied Strawberries
- 1 kg. strawberries,
- 500 ml water or strawberry juice,
- 6 tablespoons sugar,
- 2 packs of gelatin mix.
Always start with preparing the dough!
Prepare and bake the cake batter for the strawberry cake with pudding
Pour the flour and butter into a bowl and add the milk in batches. Beat vigorously, making sure you get a lump-free batter. Beat the eggs together with the usual sugar and the vanilla sugar. Make a small well in the center of the batter and pour in the egg mixture. Also add the baking powder. Now continue stirring the dough, maybe with the help of a mixer. Take a suitable baking tray in a shape you prefer. Lay out baking paper and spread the dough evenly on it. Bake the dough in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. Check and if it’s not completely done, leave it in for another 5-10 minutes.
The strawberries can be cut into small pieces, but can also be jelled whole. It’s just a matter of taste!
Jelly the strawberries and prepare the pudding
While you are baking the dough you can prepare the custard and jelly the strawberries. There is just enough time for that! Below you will find out exactly how both are done.
Jellied strawberries
First chop the strawberries and leave them aside. Now warm the juice or water and remove it from the fire just before it comes to a boil. In it, dissolve the sugar and two packs of gelatin. Pour in the strawberries and leave to cool.
Prepare the pudding
The pudding is the easiest to prepare, so we left it for last! Just mix all the necessary ingredients with a blender and it’s ready!

Bring the different layers of the cake together
Once the cake has cooled a bit, you can start bringing together the different layers of strawberry custard cake. This is not difficult, but you should have time and patience if you want to distribute everything evenly and achieve a satisfactory result. Spread the pudding over the dough. As long as this is really distributed evenly and smoothly, the even gelatine mass is also applied.
