French-style tiramisu pralines
It’s a well-known and undeniable fact that tiramisu is an Italian dessert. Its unique taste, aroma, airy texture and cocoa sprinkled topping are unmistakable. The following tiramisu pralines offer the same pleasure, but in a completely different way. They are enjoyed by hand and melt in the mouth. A single small chocolate is enough to satisfy a small hunger. It also helps us avoid eating a large portion of dessert, which might trigger guilt afterwards, especially when we’re trying to lose weight.
However, these tiramisu pralines are not prepared in the traditional and elaborate way of real pralines. Instead, the following recipe uses the much simpler and quicker French truffle technique. So although you need the same ingredients as for an Italian tiramisu, you’re using a French method of preparation here.
Elegant and rustic with a typical French flair
If you want to make your tiramisu pralines extra interesting, you can add a few extra ingredients to the mix as well. For example, a small marshmallow, a whole nut or another small addition in the middle of your chocolates creates a great surprise effect.
Finally, these truffles are rolled in cocoa powder like a classic tiramisu. But you can also experiment here and roll the pralines in ground nuts, ground biscuits, grated coconut or even ganache. If you would like to prepare different versions of the recipe, for example vegan, low-carb or no-coffee, then the different toppings can also be used to distinguish between the different types of pralines.
