Bake strawberry crumble – simple recipe for quick summer dessert

Heaven, this crumble just works. I love the apple variant in autumn, but in summer it has to be strawberry crumble. It is prepared in no time and tastes like a quick crumble cake – only without a floor. The portion is rather small, but it is enough for two to four portions – Depending on how you serve it and whether they are a ball of vanilla ice cream, for example.

I love the quick and uncomplicated preparation. I almost always have the ingredients and the crumbs can be adapted to taste. I get the strawberries fresh in the morning at the strawberry stand on the way back from the daycare center. And honestly – warm from the oven with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream? You don’t need a cake floor.

  • 500 G Strawberries
  • 100 G Flour
  • 80 G butter
  • 50 G Marzipan raw mass
  • 25 G ground almonds
  • 25 G Sliced ​​almonds
  • 50 G Mainy oatmeal
  • 60 G Sugar
  • 1 prize Salt

To serve

  • Wash, clean, halve or quarter strawberries. Place in a small, buttered baking dish (approx. 18 cm round or rectangular, e.g. 18 × 12 cm). (Mix with sugar)

  • Finely chop the marzipan in the multi -core smaller

  • Mix the flour, sugar, salt, oatmeal, almonds and marzipan in a bowl. Add a cold butter and process everything with your hands or kneading hooks – only until a crumbly mass is created.

✔️ Strawberries

It is best to use mature strawberries that you buy fresh or harvest in your own garden, taste particularly aromatic and lose less liquid when baking. Simply wash, clean and halve or quarter depending on the size.

✔️ Flour & almonds

You can use wheat flour, spelled or gluten-free flour. In my recipe, ground almonds and almond leaves are also used, matching the marzipan.

The butter should be really cold. Cut them into cubes – the crumbs can be kneaded better and remain nice and crumbly.

✔️ Marzipan

You can grasp the marzipan with a grater – that works particularly well if it is easily frozen. Or you cut it into small pieces or chop it in the multi -core smaller (that’s how I do it).

The crumbs are made with robust oatmeal. This gives the crumbs a coarser structure and a little bit more bite -resistant.

✔️ Sugar & vanilla sugar

While the strawberries do not have to be sugar, you definitely need sugar for really delicious sprinkles. You can use white or brown sugar – depending on what you have there.

How to prepare the strawberry crumble

1️⃣ Heat the oven

Set the oven to 175 ° C top/bottom heat or 160 ° C circulating air so that it is already at temperature when you are finished, because that is super fix.

2️⃣ Prepare the strawberries

Wash the strawberries, remove the green and cut them in half or quarter depending on the size. Put them directly in a buttered baking dish (approx. 18 cm round or rectangular with approx. 18 × 12 cm).

If you want to rub the marzipan, it works best when it is easily frozen. Alternatively, you cut it small or put it in the multi -shredderer – that’s the fastest way to do.

4️⃣ Knead sprinkles

Put flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, oatmeal, ground almonds, almond leaves and the marzipan in a large bowl. Add the cold butter in cubes. It works best with your hands. Knete only until a crumbly mass is created – not too much, otherwise it will be too compact.

5️⃣ Spread and bake sprinkles

Make sure that the fruits are well covered – so they don’t dry out when baking. Place the shape in the preheated oven and bake the crumble for about 25–30 minutes until the sprinkles are golden brown. If they get dark too early, you can easily cover them with aluminum foil.

6️⃣ So you can serve it

Let the crumble cool briefly and distribute it on small plates. Dust it with a little icing sugar and enjoy it best – with vanilla ice cream, cream or creamy yogurt.

The strawberry crumble recipe is not only super easy to prepare, you can also modify it or prepare it in the airfry.

I only knead my crumble with my hands. With the hand mixer, the crumbs like to fly through half the kitchen and if you look a second too late, they have been kneaded for too long. With your hands, your marzipan sprinkles become really nice and crumbly.

You can also mix the strawberries with a little rhubarb or apple. This brings a nice fruity acidity and fits the sweet marzipan.
