If there is one flower that brings together a multitude of positive associations, it is without a doubt this one lily. Their radiant, elegant appearance is immediately reminiscent of love, light and ease. In Christian mythology, the lily symbolized purity, innocence and devotion to God. But this characteristic plant also counts sensuality, femininity and dignity among its meanings. No wonder, because the elegant, shiny flowers are not only beautiful, they also last a long time as cut flowers in the vase. Its strength is due to the origin of this royal flower, because it originally only grew on the top of the world, in the Himalayas. Who gives away a lily signals affection and respect as well as hope. However, you should always pay attention to the color …

Even with the rose the color is particularly important. As a profound counterpart to the rather lighter lily, the red-orange rose variety “Catch” stands for romance and passion. This meaning is due to the red edges of the rose petals, because red roses represent unconditional love. The orange shade of its flowers, on the other hand, symbolizes security and happiness in a relationship – both in friendships and in partnerships. Although different meanings are ascribed to the color yellow for roses, this rose primarily expresses fun and joy. With its slightly sweet, intense scent, the rose has already been mentioned many times in mythology. So it got as early as 600 BC. The name “Queen of Flowers” in ancient Greece and was also seen in ancient Egypt as a symbol of Isis, the goddess of love.

The many meanings and interpretations in our BLOOMEN of the week say one thing very clearly: life is rich in gifts and full of love!
