Christmas is getting closer! This year you can easily make your own Advent wreath.
In one week, Christmas will be ushered in with the 1st Advent. Have you already thought about how you can make your apartment really nice and Christmassy? An atmospheric decoration at home is simply part of it and increases the anticipation for Christmas Eve even more. Today we are going to show you three DIY ideas with which you can decorate your home in a festive way
Christmas is getting closer – this is what you need for the Advent wreaths:
• 2 polystyrene wreaths
• Pine cones in different sizes and shapes
• Oak fruit hats
• Highlights such as small real mini apples, dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks etc.
• Stick and block candles
• Christmas balls (large and small)
• Wool or felt tape
• candle wire
• Flower scissors
• Hot glue gun
Instructions wreath no.1:
Take the styrofoam wreath and start, from the inside out, to glue the pine cones to the wreath with the hot glue gun. You can then alternately attach the fruits and the small balls with the hot glue. Make sure that there are no gaps and that nothing can be seen of the styrofoam wreath at the end. When the wreath is ready, take the candle wire and heat the end of the wire with a lighter. Then insert the wire into the taper candles so that about 3cm of the wire still peeks out of the candle. Now you can put the candles in the styrofoam wreath and your self-made Abdvent wreath is ready.
Christmas is the festival of love and probably the most contemplative time of the year, when flowers should not be missing. The streets are lit up in a sea of lights, the scent of freshly baked delicacies pours from houses and the apartments are festively decorated with Christmas flowers. The anticipation for Christmas is increasing day by day and slowly we are thinking again about this year’s Christmas gifts for our loved ones. Books for mum, a new shirt for the loved one and a multitude of toys for the little ones – Christmas is the time of giving and that can turn into a pre-Christmas gift-buying marathon, which one often wants to avoid.
