the Summer aster (bot. Callistephus chinensis) belongs to the sunflower family and originally comes from distant China. But even in this country we can enjoy the wonderful splendor of the summer asters from July every year, which lasts until autumn. At first glance, the beautiful flower heads of the beautiful cut flowers look like a single large blossom – but don’t be fooled! In truth, there are many small, radial-shaped flowers that are arranged in an umbel shape and form a colorful wreath. As varied as the individual varieties are, the color spectrum is also varied, ranging from plain white to red, pink, purple and cool blue tones. In addition, asters are available with intensely shining nuances as well as in delicate pastel shades.
The brightly colored summer asters are in “Country Cottage” with soft green Sedum combined. The beautiful plant reminds many of their childhood days in grandma’s garden, and not without reason. Sedum is popular with everyone – partly because of its easy-care and hardy character. Of the approximately 420 Sedum species worldwide, around 100 grow naturally in Germany. Just cut the great late summer flowers fresh and you can enjoy their sight in the vase.
Our vase recommendation for “Country Cottage”
For this rather lush bouquet, we recommend a table vase with a slightly wider opening so that the beautiful cut flowers of the combination are not too narrow.
Let yourself be enchanted by “Country Cottage”!
