Almost everyone wants to have an unusual wall design at home that is also green and lively, right? Succulents, kitchen herbs and bromeliads are particularly suitable. All these plants are robust and easy to care for and can be planted almost anywhere. They especially love sand and pebbles and need very little water to thrive. Kim Fisher considered exactly these properties when she designed these beautiful planters that look almost like pictures on the wall. Fischer has been dealing with decoration and design with plants as well as creative advice since the year 2000. She is very knowledgeable in these areas and has already experimented a lot. In her Etsy online shop she sells her creative planters, which have an aluminum frame and are about 55 cm wide. The chic, round containers are completely flat and are filled with pebbles and sand. They are suitable for every room as well as for outdoor areas.
Such a round wall decoration costs about 190€ and can be ordered quite easily
You can also add moss in the planter
But there are no limits to your imagination and you can also design your walls creatively yourself. Above all, old wooden frames, boards and Euro pallets are simply excellent. You can also get chicken wire to help, which succulents will especially love.
A brief visual guide
In a wooden board you can cut out a shape of your choice, e.g. B. a big heart as shown below. Then put soil or pebbles and moss in it. You can arrange the plants however you like.
Play with colors and types of plants and try different combinations
An old window frame with signs of wear looks very original and cool. Something like this will particularly please those readers who are into vintage or shabby chic. But if you want to achieve a neater look, you might be better off painting the frame a color of your choice.
Such a vertical mini garden is always an undisputed eye-catcher
If you’re not sure what kind of potting soil to use, ask your local florist for advice
The design is of course entirely up to you
You can also keep it really small and modest
Of course, you can also successfully design your walls with other plants.
Some of them are particularly recommended for terraces and balconies
Fresh herbs belong on the kitchen wall
Refined, living wall decoration for real purists
Depending on requirements, the vertical gardens can also be made longer
Or in any form such as B. as a capital letter
Air plants also look no less attractive
Create your own living wall art and enjoy it
