Fall is a great time of year to take pictures. There are countless motifs in the most beautiful colors that you simply have to capture with the camera! I like to use this time to collect many wonderful autumn motifs. In the forest in particular, the entire ground is covered with a soft mat of colored leaves and is a wonderful source of material for pictures of this time of the year. If you press the shutter release at the right moment, everything is perfect!
The best time of day for bright colors
The midday sun leads to very hard shadows even in autumn, but brings many interesting color gradients with it. In areas with many trees, however, the midday hours are exactly the right time to catch the brightly colored foliage. This then gets most of the sunlight and the colors appear even stronger.
The focus is on the light!
So that the colorful autumn leaves really come into their own, you definitely need light when taking photos. Try to position yourself so that the leaves are illuminated as well as possible. In the forest, there can be small clearings or aisles through which the light falls favorably. You will see how the leaves on the ground transform into a flowing play of colors.
A forest path has something picturesque in every season – but especially in autumn it really stands out thanks to its special color compositions. Of course, pumpkins and apples are not just lying around in the forest. We have consciously added the conditions to capture these wonderful photos with the two dogs for the souvenir album.
At the layout For the side we have chosen a color-matching background made of paper with a leather look. The only contrasts are the edges of the photos and the lettering Herbstzeit. The cardboard leaves also blend in with the autumn colors. You see, with really little effort in terms of material and time, a harmonious as well as colorful one can be created Photo page.
If you would like to cut a few leaves out of photo cardboard, we have prepared a template for you to print out.
