Here are simple instructions on how to make such frozen Christmas decorations outside yourself!
You need the following

- 3 buckets (15 cm high, 15 cm in diameter);
- 3 large empty yoghurt cups (500 g);
- 5L water – use either distilled or just tap water!;
- stones to weigh down;
- Branches with red berries, such as rose hips, or with flowers are pretty for freezing!
Fire in the ice – frozen lanterns as Christmas decorations outside!
This is how it’s done:
- Fill the buckets with about 8 cm of water and let them freeze.
- Place the yoghurt cups in the middle of the buckets on the ice and weigh them down with stones.
- Then fill the remaining water around the cups into the buckets, put the branches in and let everything freeze solid.
- Remove the yogurt cups – to make this step easier, you can fill the cups with warm water. Then you can just take it out!
- Last but not least, you can put the tea lights in the frozen lanterns and put this decoration outside!
