CLOVES & EUCALYPTUS
With “Gentle Touch”, this week is all about the shabby chic decoration trend. This includes dreamy colors in pastel tones and a lot of romantic flair – which the combination of “Gentle Touch” with delicate carnations and the all-time favorite Eucalyptus implements in a very uncomplicated way.
You can get the short-stemmed flowers from us until 10/10/2016. Order or change your subscription by Thursday, October 6th, 2016, choose October 10th, 2016 as the delivery date at the latest and look forward to your wonderful BLOOMS of the week!
the clove is one of the most popular cut flowers – among other things because it stands for courage, boldness, admiration and love. The clove got its German name because of its external resemblance to the dried clove, with which it otherwise has absolutely nothing to do. Carnations are characterized by a very long flowering time – should they still start to hang a little after a week, just cut them fresh again and the flowers should recover relatively quickly. Also, make sure that you do not place the carnations in the immediate vicinity of ripe fruit, as the flowers are very sensitive to ethylene gas and can otherwise begin to wither quickly.
Eucalyptus is a timeless favorite and gives the “Pastel Dream” combination the finishing touch. Eucalyptus originally comes from Australia and is often first associated with the favorite food of the cute koala bears. He is a true survivor who hardly needs any water and can germinate again even after devastating bush fires. In Australia, eucalyptus is mainly used as a medicinal plant – but we also love it as a cut flower in the vase! Just cut it freshly after arrival and put it in plenty of fresh water. You can find more information and care instructions here.
Our vase recommendation for “Gentle Touch”
For the short-stemmed combination “Gentle Touch” we recommend a relatively high vase with a slightly wider opening.
We wish you a wonderful week with the flowers!
