1. Julie from “julie travels”: Cruise through Croatia
For me, a little cruise through Croatia is the most beautiful place for a honeymoon in Europe! I love traveling individually and getting to know the country and its people is very important to me – because that’s what traveling is all about! So why not on your honeymoon too?
I went on a “cruise” with my fiancé off the coast of Croatia on a small white wooden ship – a maximum of 40 passengers promise a family atmosphere. Because the crew is a family that runs this ship together lovingly and with great food. During the day we drove across the sea and bathed and snorkeled in beautiful bays. In the evening we moored on islands or on land in wonderful harbors and explored the small, quaint towns on foot. The whole trip was totally romantic even as a “normal” vacation and we have grown very fond of the country with its loving people! We still often think of these special moments on board and maybe we will spend our honeymoon like this …

2. Caro from “Leben á la carte”: Wellness or Paris
Since we unfortunately had no time for honeymoon “weeks” after our civil wedding, we went to the Mediterana in Bergisch Gladbach as big sauna fans and were able to escape everyday life there in the Indian and Moorish areas. It was super relaxed and we repeated the same program on the first wedding anniversary!
Apart from that, Paris is of course THE highlight – since I lived there for half a year a few months after the wedding, we were able to spend many “honeymooners” there together again.

3. Annika from “Leben, Lieben Reisen”: Europa-Park Rust
My nicest place for the honeymoon in Europe is Europa-Park in Rust.
From romantic adventure hotels to delicious food and relaxing wellness treatments to grandiose shows, rapid roller coaster action and lots of fun, there is something for everyone. Where else can you stroll through Scandinavian villages, sniff Swiss raclette and marvel at Spanish torreros in just one day?

4. Sabine from “Fratuschi”: Mallorca or Sylt
In Europe: Mallorca or Sylt.
Both places have romantic corners and hotels to offer and a diverse gastronomic offer as well as numerous opportunities to actively do something.
Read more from Sabine: In her travel blog “Fratuschi” she writes about “Luxury travel and exclusive experiences without Tinnef and airs”. Sabine says about her interesting blog name: “Fratuschi is an oriental fragrance. Fratuschi is an Italian piazza with flair. Fratuschi is a white silk scarf in the warm wind of the Indian Ocean. Fratuschi is the sunset in the outback. Fratuschi is everything that touches us deeply in our hearts and will never be forgotten. ”
5. Bettina from “Le Blog”: Out and about on a houseboat
Honeymoons are extraordinary, so are houseboat vacations! You steer the boat yourself and determine the route according to your own wishes: mooring and disembarking or spending the night wherever you want. A European honeymoon can be so flexible.
There is also a lot of romantic time for two: cooking together on board, enjoying wine on deck and admiring the sunset. Steering the houseboat together and mastering the locks welds together again as a couple – houseboat honeymoons are really something completely different!

6. Anna & Dominik from “trips 4 lovers”: Mallorca
In Europe, the most beautiful honeymoon destination is the west of Mallorca. At first it doesn’t sound like a destination for the honeymoon, but apart from package and party tourism, there are really beautiful corners to discover.
Especially the west of Mallorca with the Tramuntana mountains and the beautiful coasts and bays has done it to us. We spent our “little” honeymoon on a small finca with a pool near Deià. Here we could really relax, go hiking, watch beautiful sunsets, visit small towns, enjoy delicious Spanish food and bathe in turquoise-blue secluded bays – you can read more about this in our Mallorca honeymoon report. In addition, Mallorca has a special meaning for us: Because that is where we met 4 years ago.

7. Tina & Stefan from Someday Maybe: Valencia
For us, Valencia is the most beautiful place in Europe for a honeymoon. We have been living here for two months and the city has enchanted us. The aspects that make Valencia such a great place to live also make this city the perfect place for a honeymoon. This city offers a great mix of everything you could want for a lovely honeymoon. Valencia has a very beautiful beach right in front of the door and a beautiful old town that invites you to stroll. Those who want to escape the city flair can rent a car and experience everything from hiking in the mountains to a lazy day in beautiful bays. Valencia offers the whole package for the newlyweds.

They want to stay for three months at each location and get to know the country and its people better. They feel at home in Valencia and continue to work on their food blog Mademoiselle Gourmande and Stefan’s website Critical Investors. Next stop: New Zealand!
8. Line & Sebastian from OffThePath.com: South Tyrol
Europe is so diverse that it is really difficult for us to recommend just one region. But we fell in love with South Tyrol, the people and the delicious South Tyrolean cuisine on a road trip through northern Italy. There really is something for everyone in this small region: great (wellness) hotels, incredible views over valleys and mountains and lots of great activities!
From kitesurfing on the Reschensee, to riding on an alpine pasture, to beautiful hikes and challenging via ferratas such as on the Paternkofel or the Drei Zinnen – simply a dream!
Read more from Line & Sebastian: The two run Off-The-Path.com one of the most popular travel and adventure blogs and report in detail on their experiences, such as their tips for a trip to South Tyrol. Line also blogs passionately about the world of riding on Kultreiter.de.
By the way, the two of them tell us in their guest article “Why a Costa Rica honeymoon is so wonderful”. and her tips about “Honeymoon in South Africa: Pure Adventure & Romance”.
Instead of a honeymoon in Europe, you’d rather wander into the distance? Another tip:
Sandra & Alex from NIEDblog: Maldives, Seychelles or Africa
If you are looking for a picture-book setting, snow-white sand and luxurious bathing fun, you cannot avoid the Maldives. Those who prefer it a little greener will find a great compromise in the enchanting Seychelles between lush vegetation, contact with friendly locals and often deserted dream beaches.
But how about a little more adventure? For us, the most beautiful place for a honeymoon is the African wilderness! Whether South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania or Botswana – for us there is nothing more romantic than a candle light dinner under the stars, the crackling atmosphere around the campfire and the breathtaking sounds of the bush. A safari can also be pure luxury, with a private pool in the middle of the savannah, your own butler, 5-course menus at gourmet level and your very own ranger! Face to face with wild elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards and zebras – the honeymoon is guaranteed to be unforgettable!
Read more from Sandra & Alex: in the “NIEDblog”, the travel blog for couples, focuses on trips with a special charm. From nature-related holidays to romantic city trips to island paradises and honeymoon destinations, you will find lots of great ideas.
Tip: On a trip into the far distance, round trips are ideal to get to know the diversity of the country and the culture. Beautiful and customizable tours can be found, for example, at Evaneos.
