Every year before Easter you feel a special excitement. Winter is finally leaving for this year and the whole air is saturated with the buzzing of bees, the chirping of birds and the wonderful scent of blossoming fruit trees. The new garden year can begin, because by Easter at the latest, everything you think is old and useless is burned. The joy of a new beginning can be expressed in many ways. Today we are dealing with how to make Easter eggs to hang up yourself, for example. There are several options, but again we want to limit ourselves to eco-friendly and sustainable ideas. However, one basic rule applies to anyone who wants to hang up their Easter eggs – you should choose materials that are very light in weight. Or rather, the eggs should be as light as a feather. The low weight allows hanging several eggs, which is the real purpose of the task. The more colorful the Easter tree, the more festive the mood!

Make Easter eggs to hang yourself – sustainable ideas again
If you want to decorate your home or garden with hanging Easter eggs, you need a quick list of the right materials just before Easter. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to Easter are real and blown eggs. Many people still prefer to bake the Easter cake and Easter bread themselves. All of these are made with fresh eggs and you just keep the shells. Since you need the shell whole, there are several tricks to getting the egg white and yolk out without breaking the egg. We describe these in the next chapter. If you don’t want to have to worry about blowing out real eggs, you can make beautiful Easter eggs out of paper. As everyone knows, paper is a very light material, which makes for creative handicrafts very quickly. You can also model pretty eggs out of salt dough relatively quickly. The baked salt dough also hardly weighs and can be painted very well. It continues with a great and very creative technique – namely crafting with balloons. At Easter you should decorate festively and the methods we propose are really easy to do. Look for pretty bows or ribbons that make the party even more beautiful.

Ancient method of how to blow out Easter eggs for hanging yourself
In a previous article we described in detail how to decorate or blow out the traditional Sorbian Easter eggs. If you can’t remember, we’ll basically repeat the simple method: prick a hole in the egg on the blunt side and one on the pointed side. When you’ve pierced the shell completely without injuring the egg, enlarge the hole on the blunt side. If necessary, you can find a blower with a pump in the craft store or in the drugstore, with which everything runs wonderfully and without risk. It is important that you wash the eggs well before and after blowing them out and dry them completely. This way you avoid the really unpleasant stench of rotting ice cream.

Easter eggs to hang up – which traditional design techniques are still possible?
The egg is perhaps the most ancient symbol of life bearing fruit. We recommend that you prepare several Easter eggs to hang. You can still work with paper mache or if you’ve already gotten balloons, you can tinker with wool. Blow up a balloon and wrap it with twine that you have previously dipped in wood glue. When the string has dried out, you can deflate the balloon. What is left is a fantastic stand that can be hung on the Easter tree or filled with sweets.
