How to store raspberries
Raspberries are tricky. They spoil so quickly as soon as you bring them home. That’s why it’s important to store them properly.
To prevent raspberries from spoiling, you can do different things. It’s important to keep humidity down, which will extend the raspberries’ storage life. The following tips and tricks will help you:
- Don’t store raspberries in vegetable drawers.
- Keep them where it’s airy (no closed or airtight containers).
- Place a piece of paper towel at the bottom of the container and change it daily.
- Do not wash the berries until you are ready to eat/use them.
- Check the container of raspberries daily and remove fruit that has developed dark mold spots.

You can easily freeze raspberries in a few steps. Wash them and gently pat them dry. Place them on a baking sheet in a single layer so they are not touching. Freeze them uncovered before placing in an airtight freezer container.
Use fresh raspberries
Can you use frozen raspberries in this tiramisu?
Unfortunately, deep-frozen raspberries are not suitable for a fruity tiramisu. They will be too watery and will damage the silky texture of the cream. Frozen raspberries are better for jam or smoothies.
