It is summer! This means that you should spend as much time outside as possible. It’s not just about being in the fresh air – you should also try to absorb every ray of sunshine and save it for the winter. Believe us, in a few weeks it will feel like December again, and then you will wish the days of August back.
Luckily, summer also makes it easy for you, because the list of activities you can do in the open air is long. Just move your breakfast or the Sunday break in the garden or on the balcony. You can also invite friends and family to barbecue and game evenings together. If you can, you could even turn your home office into a home garden. No matter which idea we were able to inspire you, a suitable (flowery) summer decoration should not be missing.
Table decoration with sunflowers
Whether on the breakfast table or at the barbecue, the food tastes much better with a beautiful table decoration. In summer there is probably nothing more suitable than a sunflower arrangement. You can of course arrange this in a vase and place it in the middle of the table. It is just as nice if you divide the arrangement into several vases and thus provide several highlights.
Incidentally, it looks particularly harmonious when part of the flower arrangement is found elsewhere on the table. We have z. B. a few sprigs of limonium from the arrangement “You’re My Sunshine” integrated into the cutlery decoration. So we have created a connection between vase and table.
It doesn’t always have to be a vase: A sunflower in a glass bowl filled with water is also a real eye-catcher. With its large and flat flower head, the sunflower floats wonderfully on the surface of the water. It is especially nice if you spread a few stones or shells on the bottom of the bowl. These then even provide a real holiday feeling on the balcony.
Summer tree decoration
We have another great idea for all garden owners – small flower vases as tree decorations! To do this, you can simply wrap a little wire around old jam jars or mini vases and hang them in a tree or larger bush. You fill the vases with water and distribute individual flower stems on them. This decoration is guaranteed to catch the eye and invites you to look for and find all the small vases. Our tip: Add a chain of lights, this ensures a cozy atmosphere, especially at dusk, and will certainly make the evening longer.
Upcycling vase made from shoes
Do you still have some old shoes that you won’t wear anyway? Instead of throwing them away, you can simply use them as a flower vase. Disused (or unloved) riding or cowboy boots look particularly great. These are nice and high and you can easily hide a small glass vase in them. You will definitely get some compliments for this creative boot vase. And if not, you have at least given your old kicks a second life.
We hope that we were able to inspire you a little with these summery decoration ideas. If you don’t have a garden or balcony, these mini-DIYs are also wonderful souvenirs. With this in mind, enjoy the summer – preferably with sunflowers.
