iris is also known by the name of the iris. Iris means “rainbow” in Greek, because irises were the plants of the messenger of the gods, Iris. According to Greek mythology, Iris had the task of accompanying the souls of the deceased along a rainbow into the realm of eternal peace. Even today, white or blue irises are used as grave decorations in the Orient. This plant not only enchants with the beauty of its flowers, it also has many valuable medicinal properties. The essential oils of the iris have expectorant effects. You can find out more information about this cut flower here.
the tulip belongs to the lily family and is hard to imagine in spring without it. Not only their variety of colors inspires, but their diversity of species is also astonishing – they are filled, segmented, goblet-shaped or lily-flowered. However, all tulips have one very special property in common: they continue to grow in the vase! Therefore it is important to cut the tulips regularly and to provide them with fresh water. Further information and care tips for tulips can be found here.
Our vase recommendation for “Sweet Iris”
For this combination, we recommend a slightly higher table vase with a wide opening so that the flowers can fall optimally. The tulips and irises need enough space, so the vase shouldn’t be too narrow.
We wish you a lot of fun with the combination “Sweet Iris” and a good start into February!
