For me, peonies are the queens of flowers! Just look at them, how beautiful are they?! Those delicate leaves that look gorgeous and lush when in full bloom. An absolute wedding flower that doesn’t need much anymore to be effective in the bridal bouquet or the table decoration: Wedding decoration with peonies.
This year we have paired the wonderful peonies with strong partners: a gentle sage and a strong dark green. With the strong accents of the stationery series ‘Burgundy’ and individual highlights in gold, this creates an elegant look with a slight boho touch.
DIY wedding decoration with peonies
Peonies are so easy to work with! They can be excellently tied into mono bouquets and get by without any other flowers. After 1-2 days they unfold their full splendor.
Tip: If the closed blossoms do not want to open, wipe them off with a soft, wet cloth. Often the sap sticks together the petals and prevents them from bursting.
For the arrangements on the table I used dark green vases that were filled with floral foam. Flowers can be inserted very easily into this spongy mass. Soak them well with water and the flowers will last for several days. So you can prepare the arrangements well before the wedding.
Bridal bouquet of peonies
The bridal bouquet of peonies is a gem! Any other flower or branch was deliberately omitted. This is how the splendor of the full flowers comes into its own.
A single flower looks pretty in the golden glass terrariums. Such small arrangements can be distributed throughout the location and ensure a uniform look! The flowers can even be used as ring cushions. Look how beautiful the rings look in the golden terrarium with a lid!
Long, golden candlesticks and a stationery with a romantic bouquet of flowers
Long candlesticks, in which there are also long candles, bring an eerie elegance to the table! While the natural-colored linen tablecloth stands for a certain relaxation, the candle holders in gold and the golden cutlery provide a chic contrast.
More flowers are waiting for the guests: the ‘Burgundy’ series decorates the serviettes with its banderoles. The guests will find their names on the pretty labels and small pendants decorate the gift.
You won’t find invitations, menu cards and thank-you cards, even the church booklet and, if you wish, other components of this series in our shop, but we’ll make them for you if you’re interested. Email is enough!
