Tips for decorating the church
Before we introduce you to the various ideas and tips for decorating your church wedding, we have two important tips for you. Regardless of what you have thought of as a decoration for the church wedding, be sure to discuss this with the priest or pastor before the wedding. In this way you avoid nasty surprises, but you can still receive one or the other idea and suggestion.
You should also define a certain budget together with your partner so that the decoration in the church does not consume too much money from your budget for the wedding. You should write down your budget somewhere with the various items, for example in this free wedding planner, which you can also personalize.
Put up a welcome sign
Welcome your guests directly at the entrance of the church. Wedding signs or welcome signs give every wedding an individual and personal touch. Of course, you cannot change the outside of the church, but you can create a small eye-catcher in the entrance area.
With a personalized welcome sign to the wedding, which you can order here in different designs, for example, you can make a great first impression. For example, you could place the welcome sign on an easel and decorate it with flower arrangements and candles.

Decoration of the pews
In our blog you can already discover some great ideas and examples for decorating the pews in your own post. We see a decoration of the pews with flowers or bows at almost every church wedding. Not without reason, because with manageable effort and costs you can provide a pretty and suitable decoration in the church for your wedding. Incidentally, with smaller budgets it is completely sufficient to only decorate every second row accordingly. You can find more about decorating the pews in the previously linked post.

Decorate the chairs of the newlyweds
The bride and groom sit at the front of the church at the wedding ceremony and are in the center of the action. The eyes of your guests are mostly directed at you. Reason enough to nicely decorate the chairs of the bride and groom. Use chair covers or a combination of bows and flowers like the pews. Chair pendants, such as Mr. & Mrs. pendants, are also ideal for the chairs for the bride and groom.

Decorates the church aisle
There is one very specific thing that turns a church into a glamorous wedding venue. Many bridal couples decorate the chairs of the bridal couple and also the pews, but forget to go to church. One of the most important and great moments of a wedding is when the bride walks down the aisle to the altar. Therefore, this should be designed with a decoration that is just like the moment: great.
It looks particularly beautiful, of course, when you use candles to decorate the church corridor. You could either place them in a glass decorated with flowers, or put them in a small bag. For the variant with the bag, however, you should rather use LED tea lights due to fire protection. If open fire is generally prohibited in the church, you can put LED pillar candles in the glass. Alternatively, you could also scatter flowers to the left and right of the aisle.

Decoration of the altar in the church
In the preliminary talk with the pastor before the wedding, you should ask whether you can decorate the altar in the church. Like the chairs for the bride and groom, this is always in the field of vision. Flowers are your best friend when it comes to decoration. With a pretty flower arrangement you can give the altar your own style.
Alternatively, a separate grape arch, which frames the altar, would be something else. Grape bows are often used in a free wedding ceremony, but of course they are also suitable for the church. You can then attach flowers or fairy lights to the grape arch. But here, too, the first thing to do is to ask questions beforehand.
Reuse church decoration
No matter what you choose as decoration in the church, you can also use it for the later wedding celebration. You could use the grape arch with the flowers as a background for the photo box. The flower arrangement from the altar can be used again for the bridal couple table. The welcome sign at the entrance to the church also looks good at the location for the wedding celebration.
In order for this to work, you of course need someone who brings the various things from the church to the location and sets everything up there. In such a case, for example, a master of ceremonies makes sense as an organizer and for support at weddings.
In some churches, two church weddings take place on one day. If you have the first appointment, you could discuss with the other bride and groom whether they would like to use part of the decoration of you. Maybe you can reduce the cost of the decoration by doing this.
