What do you need to make an Advent wreath?
The most important thing about one Advent wreath is the blank, so the basic basis. There are many different ways to use a basic base from a root, wooden trunk, metal frame or similar, there are no limits to the imagination, because almost everything can be processed. Please also pay attention to the proportions of the individual elements and take your time when choosing the basic base, because it is the heart of your wreath.
Of the classic advent wreath is a straw ring, which is tied with various cut greenery. This work is tedious because it takes a little strength and everything has to be tightened to create the basic base. Therefore, many florists use a basic wreath that is already equipped with various greens (see photos).

Fit the advent wreath

To wrap and insert your decorative elements using silver wire or copper wire, which also looks good at Christmas time. The thickness of the wire should be at least 1mm, also try thicker wire. Our tip: You can use copper wire from old power cables, you simply have to strip the cable, the outer sheath, and the individual wires.
You can buy bare wire in hardware stores or in electronics stores, it is usually offered on a roll in various lengths.
Candles should of course not be missing, Here it would be ideal to use candles that already have a pin to stick on. If you don’t have a candle with a spike on hand, you can simply take wire, wrap it around the candle and put it in the wreath. Please always make sure that when the candles have burned down, the flames cannot jump onto the wreath. A Kranz gets drier and drier over time and is therefore a danger for leaping flames, Attention fire hazard!
