A garden wedding with a celebration in the large wedding tent is a bit of a challenge, but everything can be planned completely according to the very own wishes of the bride and groom. A wedding in your own garden also has the advantage that the location for the wedding celebration cannot simply be canceled due to Corona. One of the reasons why Kirsten and Ömer decided to have a garden wedding.
Before Corona, Kirsten and Ömer had chosen a different location to celebrate than their own garden. As the wedding approached, however, they began to doubt whether it would not be better to have the opportunity to go out and ventilate properly. Not unimportant, especially in times of Corona. However, that would not have been possible at the other location. So we talked to a caterer and tent rental company whether they also organize tent weddings. When the acceptance came from there, the bride and groom changed their whole plan six weeks before the wedding.

The bride’s parents live very rural and have a wonderful green landscape all around. There was also a correspondingly large meadow to be able to set up the large wedding tent. Exactly the right conditions for a wedding in your own garden. But that would not have been possible without the active support of their families. Who can pave the way to the tent on the meadow “just quickly” two days before the wedding? It took everyone just under two weeks to assemble and dismantle everything.
At this garden wedding, the wedding also took place in your own garden. It was exactly as the bride and groom imagined it to be. Your freelance speaker did a great job. Already after the first meeting with her, Kirsten and Ömer were sure that she would organize the wedding according to their wishes. A little funny, a little depth and a lot of feeling. However, they were a little lucky at the outdoor wedding on the day of the wedding. When Kirsten left the house, the sun came out – after it had rained for 2 days.
Decoration of the garden wedding
For their wedding, Kirsten and Ömer have chosen the colors copper, cream and green. They wanted a rose-gold decoration first, but that was a bit too much for them. The mother of a good friend, who helped them with the decorations and the flowers, then suggested this combination to them, which both were enthusiastic about. We particularly like the table decorations with the bottles sprayed on in copper color. If you like this idea, then be sure to check out our article Spraying bottles for the DIY wedding.
The bride and groom opted for self-sewn masks as gifts. Kirsten made this with two friends, Kirsten’s sister labeled it and Ömer’s sister made a nice personalization for the photographer and DJ. They then used the masks for going to the buffet and anyone who wanted could keep them on for dancing or in general.
