Hypericum is better known in German as St. John’s wort. The Hypericum is used in medicine and homeopathy as a remedy for depression and sleep disorders, but also for general calming. It has been cultivated as the most important medicinal plant in Germany since 1990. The cultures of the Hypericum originally come from the Netherlands, but can now be found all over the world.

In addition to its medicinal properties, St. John’s wort has been a very popular cut flower for a number of years and is primarily used in the colors green and red, often in autumn combinations.
