Hydrangeas botanically form a family of their own, namely that of the hydrangea family or Hydrangeaceae. There are around 70 species that are found all over the world. This week we are sending you blue autumn hydrangeas, which, in contrast to the mostly white or pink summer hydrangeas, are more durable and can therefore be shipped. After they arrive, you should cut the hydrangeas long and diagonally with a sharp knife and then place them in hot water for about 10 seconds until no more bubbles appear. This ensures that the flowers recover quickly from transport and that any slack leaves become vigorous again. Autumn hydrangeas are also perfect for drying, simply take the hydrangeas out of the vase after a few days and place them in a container without water. You will have dried some of your blooms of the week for a long time! More information and care tips for the hydrangeas can be found here.

Lilies with their classic beauty are always an eye-catcher that impresses with perfection and elegance. No wonder the lily was chosen to be the flower of kings. It is a genus of the lily family (bot. Liliaceae) with around 110 species. Some species are among the oldest ornamental plants at all. The genus has its evolutionary origin in the Himalayas. It can now be found on all continents of the northern hemisphere. You can find more information and care instructions here.

Eucalyptus is an all-time favorite and gives the “Pastel Dream” combination the finishing touch. Eucalyptus is native to Australia. He is a true survivor who hardly needs any water and will sprout again even after bush fires. Eucalyptus is mainly used as a medicinal plant – but we also love it as a cut flower in the vase!

Our vase recommendation for “Pastel Dream”

The long-handled combination “Pastel Dream” looks best in a tall vase with an opening that is not too wide.

We wish you a wonderful week with the flowers!
