Tips and ideas for your save-the-date cards

Have you already chosen the date for the wedding and would like to share it with your guests? Then a save-the-date card is just the thing for you. In this post we have put together some tips and great ideas for your save-the-date cards.
Tips for your save-the-date card
You can’t really go wrong with a save-the-date card. However, there are a few things that you should be aware of. There is also one or the other thing that you may not necessarily think about in advance.
Don’t send too late
In our blog, we have already described in a separate post when the save-the-date card should be sent. This is helpful if you already know the exact date, but not all of the other details about your wedding.
As soon as the date of your wedding is fixed, you can send it to your guests. But don’t take too long for this, because many people like to go on vacation, especially in the summer months. The exact place, the time of the wedding and everything else about your wedding will then find their place in the wedding invitation.

Have proofreading
Even if there is probably not as much text on a save-the-date card as in the text on the invitation card, you should still proofread it carefully.
First and foremost, you should do this yourself, of course, but you should also have someone else do it. At some point you can no longer see the forest for the trees. After all, a missing point in the date is annoying. You can order an image and text control for your card from many providers, including with sendmoments.
Do not insist on a particular design
Especially at the beginning it is often not quite clear in which style and design the planned wedding should take place. First, focus on finding the perfect date for the wedding.
Even if you don’t know exactly what your wedding should look like in the end, you can of course still send a save-the-date card. Do not insist on a particular design. It would of course be very nice if the save-the-date card goes perfectly with the rest of the stationery, but it’s not a must-have.

Ideas for your save-the-date card
The save-the-date card is probably the first point of contact your guests have with the wedding. It is not without reason that they literally say that the first impression counts. Therefore, use the first official message to the wedding guests to leave a lasting impression.
Use a refinement
For a really great first impression, you can, for example, refine your save-the-date card. For example, did you spot the little shiny hearts in the previous photo? These are embossed with rose gold foil, which make the hearts a real eye-catcher. Alternatively, you could also use gold foil or silver foil finishing.

Save-the-Date card as a magnet
If you are not enthusiastic about a classic card, a save-the-date card as a magnet might be a nice alternative. The great thing is that you can quickly and easily turn any classic card into a magnetic card. There are self-adhesive magnetic plates that you can attach to the back.
When your save-the-date card is hanging on the fridge of your guests, your date will certainly not be forgotten.
Save-the-Date card with tracing paper
How about a save-the-date card with tracing paper for your wedding? The principle behind it is simple, but we are personally very enthusiastic. The transparent paper gives a card a second layer. If both levels are on top of each other, your card is complete.
To clarify what I mean by that, you can take a look at the two following photos. Almost all of the text is on the actual card. The date, however, was printed on the tracing paper. Both are held together by a golden triangle clip.
