Yes, yes, I know! You know my opinion on sweatpants and my dislike of wearing them in public. But today I would like to talk about loungewear and fashionable sportswear that we mainly wear at home. We now work more in the home office and we want to be relaxed, but still well dressed. The worn-out jogging pants are really not exactly stylish and when the postman brings us new packages, we don’t want to scare him away with our sight. I believe that the past two pandemic years have also brought about a change in homewear, but also in sportswear, they have definitely developed into a wearable and stylish variant.

What is lounge or home wear?
Loungewear, homewear or sportswear is the term used to describe comfortable clothing that is usually worn at home or for sports, but which has also been on the streets as stylish streetwear for quite some time. It used to be the classic Nicki lounge suit worn at home by fashion-conscious women over 40. In the early 2000s, Paris Hilton’s Juicy Couture tracksuit became all the hype as a luxurious and ultra-stylish party look (with Tinkerbell in her arms). Bare tops with pink Nicki jackets and casual track pants with glitter applications were therefore suitable for going out (and less used for sporting activities). In the meantime, lounge and sportswear have become much more stylish and the materials have become more versatile. The knitted two-piece suits are very popular at the moment and mostly come in earth tones in the stores.
Hanuki now wears sportswear as loungewear – how does that work?
Well, and now it’s gotten me too! Loungewear fever. So far I’ve only worn black leggings at home (very opaque and very high quality, of course). Sweatpants or similarly baggy house clothes have always been frowned upon by us. How quickly can a worn-out jogging bag banish your love life to Siberian nirvana??? No, no, we stay reasonably stylish, even when we’re lying on the couch or in the home office. I prefer sporty clothes that can also be worn outside the four walls, e.g. B. to go to the gym for a short time. But now I’m flirting with something new, something chic and with more style!

Then I looked at the latest sports collection and loungewear from Hunkemöller and had to realize that the many models are really very chic and stylish. Many designs from the HKMX collection are inspired by the sports fashion of the 80s, colorful and a bit retro – but with a stylish design. Exactly my taste!!! Regardless of whether you prefer to be on the sexy side or want to take it easy. You can find really nice sportswear for all occasions. I opted for a sporty two-piece suit with jogging pants and a cropped hoodie jacket in a very light pink. My wish was a combination of loungewear and sportswear. Up to now I also wore my beloved black leggings to go to the gym. Now I’m wearing my cool sports suit.

Sportswear and loungewear are also suitable as a casual street style
In recent years, sportswear has established itself as a casual street style. The modern, casual cuts ensure a relaxed and cool style. Of course, this style can also be seen in many young women outside of the gym. If you are a middle-aged woman, then we should make the sporty street style a little more suitable for everyday use with the right accessories. I’m wearing my new HKMX sports suit with cool sneakers, a t-shirt and a crossbody fanny pack.
As you can see, the sporty suit looks really cool with a fanny pack. Chunky sneakers and some jewelry complete the celebrity sporty look. With this combination, I can both go to sports and go on a shopping trip. And matching sets always look like we’ve put a lot of effort into styling them.
OHOOO – Hunkemöller doesn’t just make lingerie – a surprise for me!
I’ll admit it openly, up until now I’ve always thought that Hunkemöller only has a lot of underwear, lingerie and nightwear. As a blogger, I didn’t really have the sports collection or the loungewear collection on my radar. Of course I had already bought various sports bras and bikinis, but no sports fashion. There is really great, fashionable sportswear for everyone: Yoga, Pilates, jogging or fitness. And you can conveniently order everything online and have the items delivered to the nearest store. I did that too and picked up my things from the store in Wiesbaden three days later. Really easy!
Conclusion:
Sporty, flexible, comfortable and cozy clothing is no longer just for an evening on the couch. Modern, stylish sports suits or loose-fitting leggings with shirts replace the office uniform in the home office. The borders blur. Maybe this trend isn’t chic enough for a 5-star restaurant, but smart enough for everyday life. I’m assuming that we’ll see the sporty look as a trend for quite a while.
