The trend color number 1 this year iiiiiiiiiis: * dreamy twirl * YELLOW! From pastel and strong to a soft butter yellow, yellow is a trend color for spring/summer 2022. Yellow was already a real eye-catcher last season. Of course, the color also looks particularly beautiful if you already have a slightly tanned complexion. Good news: Many of the trend colors from last year will remain with us this season.
HOW DO I COMBINE THE TREND COLOR YELLOW
The shade goes well with white, off-white, cream, denim blue or gray. But different shades of yellow also harmonize with each other in the all-over look.
For my spring look, I chose a rich yellow. I really like the combination with white. In my eyes, the two colors look very harmonious. You can wear the look with sneakers and a casual bag on a coffee date, but you can also wear it with heels for dinner. From bright yellow shirts up to pastel blouses you will find a large selection of fashionable cuts in the online shop. Street One has great tops – of course also in the trend color yellow.
MORE TREND COLORS 2022
In addition to yellow, it will generally be very colorful this spring. Red, purple, pink, pink, blue or orange – it’s time for bright colors. And they bring with them an exclusive elegance that makes every outfit look much more stylish and expensive than it actually is.
COMBINE COLORFUL COLOURS
You know my wardrobe is 80% neutral tones. But every now and then – especially in summer – I also grab bright colors! But as with all strong colors, the question arises as to how best to combine the bright tones.
Tone the trend and ensure a large portion of extravagance and summer mood!
1. Which color combinations work harmoniously?
For a cool styling, two or more trend colors can be combined with each other. The three primary colors yellow, blue and red mixed together result in the secondary colors green, orange and violet. It work for example purple and yellow or orange and blue very well with each other. Alternatively, you can also opt for softer color gradations and combine bright colors with softer nuances of the same color family. Such as pink to pink or dark blue to light blue.
2. Optical cheating with colors
Colors not only have an effect on our appearance and our mood, but can also visually emphasize our own advantages and make us slimmer. For example, dark shades have the positive property of making the figure appear slimmer. A strong, dark shade of blue makes the waist, hips, bottom and legs appear narrower. High-waisted pants or a skirt in this color flatters the figure. A top in a bright color draws attention to the upper body.
3. Never combine more than three bright colors!
Fashion or carnival? Never combine more than 3 bright colors together. I would even recommend only two, otherwise the look can quickly appear wild and confusing. Then the colors are no longer flattering, but rather annoying and generally just too much. With two colors in one look you are always on the safe side. An accessory as a statement piece is also a suitable combination option. For example a bag or shoes.
4. Fashion meets beauty
The modern look with bright colors is something for everyone – it doesn’t always have to be color from head to toe. A styling rule says that accents can also make a big impact. More precisely: beauty meets fashion. If you don’t feel like wearing flashy clothes, try a bright lipstick or eyeliner. A great blue eyeliner goes perfectly with blue jeans and a yellow top.
