A spring outfit & jewelry ideas – daydreamer

I can hardly believe that spring is finally here. We’ve waited so long and the sun is finally shining. What I love: Spotting early bloomers, being outside with my family in spring outfits, wearing my trench coat and blazer without a coat over it, putting together my spring capsule wardrobe (I did that this week – blog post on that coming soon), a few new pieces and above all to plan sewing and knitting projects for the new season.

I’m currently knitting a striped, navy-style sweater. As sewing projects I have planned a patterned blouse, a shirt in royal blue and trousers with a houndstooth pattern. And of course I’m really looking forward to the gardening season, which is about to start! On Sunday we were outside in the garden for the first time this year and it was such a wonderful foretaste of what is to come. My son can already hear the birds chirping every day when we open the windows in the morning.

A breath of fresh air in spring outfits thanks to accessories

In fact, I’m also really loving this season to breathe new life into some old favorites from my closet through accessories. I got over the simplicity of the first two and a half years as a mom :D, wear belts more often again and have started wearing the various pieces of jewelry I own again. I now exchange my gold jewelery for silver jewelery on some days and I find it very exciting how that immediately changes the look.

I had a few of the family’s pieces of jewelry cleaned and refurbished – for example a beautiful signet ring from my grandmother. A watch with a silver or leather strap that you can change from Nordgreen (via classified ads) as well as a necklace from Stilnest (also via classified ads) and one from Fleuriscoeur were allowed to move in and give my spring outfit the finishing touch. I’m currently eyeing a few more pieces from Stilnest and Isabel Bernard that would go really well together… We’ll see. I just love layered necklaces and the combination of different rings!

Well, spring is coming…

In mid-March I was in Ratingen for further training as a style consultant. It’s been on my list for so long and I’m so happy to be able to offer style advice in addition to color advice in my studio. Of course I used the long journey to pay a visit to my dear Selmin in Cologne.

We had a wonderful, relaxing Sunday, discovered crocuses and went to the flea market. Selmin was kind enough to take some photos of my spring outfit. Man, was that a long time ago! After that we worked on our projects a bit – me on my spring knit sweater, she on some upcycling projects. Ah, that was nice! We ended the evening with delicious food at Selmin’s home.
