Colorful hustle and bustle in our home: Instead of beige, white and gray tones, strong colors and eye-catching patterns are now at the top of the trend list. Orange, yellow, green and especially red ensure a cheerful, colorful hustle and bustle in your booth. So that the whole thing doesn’t look too chaotic, you should stick to a color spectrum for the furniture and only use individual accessories to create a cheeky outlier. The name of the trend “Dopamine Decor” is an allusion to the feel-good neurotransmitter that gives us a feeling of warmth and happiness.

Food: No waste – circular food
Millions of tons of food are wasted in Switzerland every year. The new trend “Circular Food” is an approach to reducing food waste and avoiding it altogether in the long term. It’s best to only buy what you’ll actually eat.
By the way, there are numerous practical and cool uses for supposed waste products in the kitchen. We have put together some valuable tips and tricks for you here with leftover vegetables, coffee grounds, pasta water, banana, potato and lemon peels, leftover pasta and wine as well as old bread.

Would you like to incorporate more exercise into your everyday life in a fun way in the new year? How about the cutting-edge sports trend “Barre Fitness”? This is the perfect combination of Pilates, yoga and ballet. You can book a course in the gym or promote your flexibility and body tension at home with YouTube workouts (using only the back of a chair and a yoga mat as equipment).
Cozy cardio, which is currently really hyped on TikTok, is also trendy. The focus here is not on dogged training including high levels of fat burning, but rather on the feel-good factor. Training takes place at home in a pleasant atmosphere. You can design the training however you like. How about some hula hooping while you listen to an exciting podcast? Or do some strengthening exercises while watching your favorite TV series?
Culture: Live concerts
Honor Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music: You should definitely experience music live. With Taylor Swift (July 9/10 at Letzigrund), James Blunt (March 1, Hallenstadion), Lenny Kravitz (July 15, Locarno), Jason Derulo (March 29, Hallenstadion), Nickelback (June 1, Hallenstadion), Rod Stewart (June 27, Hallenstadion), Jonas Brothers (June 4, Hallenstadion) and Die Fantastischen Vier (December 6, Hallenstadion) are hosting numerous well-known music greats in Switzerland this year.
If live concerts are too expensive or too far away for you, you can also watch your favorite artists perform live via stream. The cultural broadcaster Arte, for example, offers several live concerts online every day, free of charge, from the genres of pop & rock, classical, electro, jazz, metal, hip-hop and opera.
