How do I prepare the oven pumpkin with feta?

The preparation is really, really easy and can be done really quickly. Just hollowing out the pumpkin takes some time. She does the rest by itself.

First, you have to wash your pumpkin thoroughly and remove any soil residue. If your pumpkin has dark spots on the shell, you can cut them out.

Then cut the pumpkin in half with a large, sharp knife. Then take out the pulp and seeds with a spoon.

At this point you should heat the oven to 200° top/bottom heat.

Now cut the pumpkin into strips approx. 2 cm wide.

Peel the red onions before cutting them into slices or rings.

Place the pumpkin and onions in a bowl or baking dish.

The marinade:

To make the marinade, simply mix all the ingredients together. Place the olive oil with the maple syrup (or honey) in a small bowl or cup. Add the salt, pepper and chili powder and mix with a spoon or small whisk.

Then pour the marinade over the pumpkin and mix everything well.

Tip: You can bake the pumpkin in a baking dish or directly on the baking tray (with baking paper if necessary).

Place the pumpkin in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. Then take the pumpkin out of the oven and turn it once.

Now crumble the feta cheese over the pre-baked pumpkin. Then bake the pumpkin with the feta for another 10-15 minutes, depending on how browned you like your cheese.

Before serving, sprinkle some fresh parsley over the pumpkin. Bon appetit.

Tip: Sunflower seeds, walnuts or pumpkin seeds also go well with it. If you use one of these toppings, add them to the pumpkin along with the feta cheese.

You can also fry some minced meat, season it and add it to the pre-baked pumpkin with the feta. It also tastes very tasty and it also fills you up.
