Absolutely! You can customize the pizzas to your preferences. Instead of salami or ham, you can use various vegetables such as peppers, onions, mushrooms and olives. Instead of cheese, you can also use a vegetable grated cheese alternative.

Cooking utensils

  • Stirring machine
  • rolling pin
  • 1-2 baking tray/pizza stone

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 10 G fresh yeast
  • 260 ml lukewarm water
  • 2 Pinch of sugar
  • 460 G Wheat flour type 405
  • 1.5 EL olive oil
  • 2 TL Salt

Topping:

  • 250 ml sieved tomatos
  • Spices: 1.5 tbsp Italian spices (oregano, basil), 1/2 tsp salt and pepper, 1 pinch of sugar
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 400 G Vegetables (tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, corn, etc.)
  • 100 G Salami or ham
  • 50 G arugula
  • a handful of fresh basil

Instructions

  • Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm water, stir in the sugar and stir well until the yeast has completely dissolved. Sift the flour into a mixing bowl, add the yeast water, olive oil and salt and knead with the mixer at low speed for 10 minutes. Then knead vigorously again with your hands until a smooth, supple dough is formed.
  • Place the dough back in a bowl, cover with a damp tea towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes. The dough should then have doubled in volume.
  • Cut vegetables into small pieces and prepare the tomato sauce. To do this, chop the garlic clove into small pieces and mix it with the pureed tomatoes and spices in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees top/bottom heat including baking tray/pizza stone, knead the pizza dough again with your hands, portion the dough into approx. 24 pieces of 35 g each and roll out 5 mm thick.
  • Top the dough according to your own taste, e.g. with tomato sauce, vegetables, mozzarella, finally place it on the baking tray/pizza stone (be careful when it's hot!) and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, garnish with fresh herbs and rocket and serve.

Notes and tips

  • You can also roll out the entire dough in one piece and cut out round pieces of dough with a glass.
  • This mini pizza is ideal as finger food on a party buffet and tastes good warm and cold, and goes perfectly with a crisp, green salad.
  • If you want to save even more time for your children's birthday pizza, you can also use ready-made pizza dough.
  • It's a nice idea, especially for children, to make little faces out of the ingredients for the topping (e.g. olives for eyes, salami for mouths, etc.)
