Use the seasonal fruit for your delicious and healthy yoghurt ice cream!
Yoghurt ice cream recipe 1
The first recipe really works almost effortlessly. The only thing to consider is the time of preparation. This and all the other recipes will take you a few hours!
For 2-3 servings you will need the following ingredients:
- 150 grams of fruit (preferably choose seasonal fruit),
- 300 grams of high-fat yoghurt,
- 30 grams of sugar or a healthier substitute.
The first thing you should do is chop the pieces of fruit and leave them in the freezer for a few hours. Meanwhile, you should thicken the yogurt. You can achieve this with the help of a sieve. Pour in the yoghurt and let the water drain for a while. Mix everything together using a blender, mixer or simply by vigorous hand stirring. Spread into ice molds and leave back in the freezer for a couple of hours.
You are of course welcome to top your ice cream with nuts or oatmeal!
Yoghurt Ice Cream Recipe 2 – Tropical flair
This recipe has many similarities with the first. But a tropical fruit mix is used here. Also, the procedure in this case is a bit different than the first recipe.
The ingredients:
- 200 grams of frozen tropical fruit pieces,
- 300 high-fat yoghurt,
- 2 tbsp maple syrup.
- 200 grams of seeds from tropical fruits such as pomegranate or passion fruit.
Use the strainer procedure just described to thicken the yoghurt. Then mix all the ingredients except the seeds with a mixer or blender or slotted spoon until you have achieved a fairly homogeneous mass. Divide into ice molds and leave in the freezer for a few hours. After that, serve by garnishing with the seeds.
With a little creativity and in simple glasses, you could easily make popsicles
The vegan alternative
For the vegan alternative, we recommend using either soy or oat yoghurt. The soy alternative provides a more neutral taste, and the second – for an additional, natural sweetness. What we can do is very simple to use the previous recipes. You replace the usual with the mentioned yoghurt alternatives.
However, here comes an additional special recipe for you as well!
The ingredients needed are:
- 6 Bch soy or oat yoghurt,
- 2/3 bch agave syrup,
- 1/4 finely ground cashew nuts,
- 1/2 tbsp pure vanilla extract,
- 1/4 tbsp xanthan gum.
Use the right yogurt and your ice cream desserts will be tasty and healthy
Mix everything together except the xanthan gum and stir until smooth. It is best to use a mixer or blender for this. The xanthan gum should only be added at the end. Pour in the entire amount and let stand for a minute. Take a metal jar and leave in the freezer for an hour. Afterward, take it out, put it all back in the blender, or just leave it out for 20 minutes. You can then stir again with the selected device or by hand. Leave in the fridge again for an hour and stir a third time after that.
Now distribute into your chosen shapes!
No matter which recipe you choose, you would need to use the best quality products. This turns your ice cream into a healthy meal that offers you both refreshment and lots of vitamins.
