Advent is here – and I’m currently in Hawaii and I don’t really feel Christmas here. The sun is shining (most of the time), it’s around 28° C and I’m just walking around in summer clothes. The few Christmas trees that stand here and there seem somehow surreal. Meanwhile it’s snowing in Frankfurt and the temperatures are below zero. I actually like it that way – not really the cold, but this cozy, cozy, cuddly mood and the atmosphere at Christmas time. I already miss that. But I don’t want to complain. I’m really enjoying the warmth and the sun and Hawaii is really beautiful so far. And I have prepared one or two things for you in advance so that I can continue to sweeten your Advent season. Today with this: Christmas apple marble caken. With gingerbread spice and hazelnuts. It’s so juicy and delicious. And at the same time very uncomplicated and simple. Recipes like these are my favorite, as you know. But I’ll summarize all the facts for you here:
- marble batter,
- with apple pieces, gingerbread spice and hazelnuts,
- made easy,
- juicy,
- healthier,
- made from simple ingredients,
- stays fresh for several days,
- perfect for the Christmas season.
Juicy apple marble cake with Christmas spices
To make the dough, all you have to do is mix the dry ingredients, mix the wet ingredients and then briefly stir in the dry mixture. Complete. The apple pieces go into one part of the dough and the other part is made particularly aromatic by cocoa, rum and chocolate. The whole thing goes into a springform pan, is pulled through once with a fork and then the remaining apple pieces, chopped hazelnuts and cinnamon sugar are added on top. Put it in the oven, bake for an hour and the Christmas cake is ready. The dough is healthier with spelled and wholemeal spelled flour instead of wheat, erythritol instead of sugar and oil + vegetable drink instead of butter. If you want, you can also use wheat flour and normal sugar. I also stated that again in the recipe. I really liked the cake. Made to sweeten one or two grubby days of Advent. Feel free to try it and let me know what you think of the cake in the comments! 🙂
